THE second Taste Coleambally Food and Farm Festival was declared a success by organisers.
More than 100 people attended the 50 Mile Meal, which offered a six-course degustation style menu of local produce and beverages on Saturday night and a large crowd gathered in the main street for the Paddock to Plate Precinct yesterday.
Event co-ordinator Julie Bellato said the festival was a chance for farmers to teach people how they grow their food.
"We want to show how we use water sustainably to grow food," she said.
Guest speaker at the event, Rebecca Sullivan a cook, eco-agronomist, food writer and television presenter said the event was about more than food.
She said it was a great way to promote the district.
Ms Sullivan said was impressed by how welcome everyone had made her feel.
"The people are magical," she said.
The event was featured on the Today show when Cole-ambally's Julie Wiltshire joined Ms Sullivan in a segment on Saturday morning.
Locals spoke about their produce being in demand right across Australia and some have even been approached by overseas buyers.
