A GRIFFITH man has been charged with a string of offences - including assault, intimidate and resist police - after an incident at La Festa on Saturday.

Police were conducting a licensed-premises inspection at the event in the Griffith Community Gardens about 5.15pm when they spotted a man who had previously been ejected from the licensed area.
When officers approached the 23-year-old, a second man confronted police.
As the 28-year-old man was being escorted from the area, he allegedly struck a male sergeant in the face.
In the process of making the arrest, police say they were surrounded by a number of other men who yelled abuse and threw wine at them.
Officers later observed the man drop a plastic bag on the ground which is alleged to have contained seven tablets, believed to be ecstasy.
Police say he also made several threats to the arresting officer.
During a subsequent search, police seized a pocket knife from the pocket of his jeans.
He was taken to Griffith police station and charged with excluded person fail to leave premises when required; resist officer in execution of duty; assault officer in execution of duty; intimidate police officer in execution of duty; carry cutting weapon upon apprehension; supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.
The man was granted conditional bail and will appear in Griffith Local Court on May 14.
Police also arrested and charged the 23-year-old with two counts of fail to quit.
He is due to front court on the same date.
