Maria Campbell unveiled her forecasts for the region for 2014, with some interesting if not improbable insights shared.
Maria, who claims to have been in touch with spirits for close to 60 years, said the city could expect some windfalls and shortfalls.
"I see a fatality, I'm fairly sure it's a stabbing because I see a blade," she said. "There are two more drug busts to come and people need to be very careful because there will be an infestation of snakes.
"Locals going to the beach need to be careful when swimming in the water too because there will be a phenomenal amount of shark attacks. This is because the earth is moving and getting hotter."
Last year Maria predicted fire would affect Griffith and while she didn't exactly pinpoint The Area News at the time, she believes the cause of the blaze at the historic building may have been the work of a disgruntled spirit.
"That building was haunted by a male who has been on the site since 1912," she said.
"It had everything to do with that spirit. He got a bit selfish, but it was time for The Area News to move anyway.
"There will be a lot of changes in staff for the paper. I see old ones moving on and up and younger ones moving in."
In 2014, Maria said Griffith or nearby could see a big budget movie made featuring either Nicole Kidman or Naomi Watts as leading ladies.
"That film will bring a lot of joy into Griffith," she said.
"The farming industry will thrive.
"There will be a mining enterprise of some sort set up at Hillston or Rankins Springs.
"Gold will be discovered in the region so it could be that.
"There is going to be some Japanese input into Griffith and a corporate war between Wagga and Griffith of some kind. I can see another drowning and four fatalities on the Griffith to Leeton road.
"The real estate industry will move ahead in Griffith, it's a pretty important year.
"Newcastle will experience an earthquake and there will be an assassination attempt of a parliamentarian in Canberra. This is a warning to them."
