In Government & Community Services

"I am a retired school teacher from Rankins Springs who currently runs a family farm near Binya. Like many people in my region, I’m fed up with having to pay so much tax while getting so little back from the government in return.

The National Party have been in power for the past 34 years in my part of the world. During that time, we’ve seen our hospitals, schools, roads, telecommunication networks and infrastructure depleted; and much of our water taken away. Put simply, people are sick of having to endure expensive travel for routine services and essential medical procedures while the NSW Government uses our taxes to rebuild Sydney stadiums and move Sydney museums.

While Murray is a safe Nationals seat, we will keep getting a raw deal from the NSW Government. We’ll only ever see fully-serviced hospitals; our schools lifted to Sydney standards; improvements to our roads and Internet access, and a fairer deal farmers if the Nationals lose their safe seat.

That’s why I stood as an Independent candidate at the 2015 state election for the seat of Murray; and for the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party at the 2017 Murray by-election. Together, we can get put pressure on the NSW Government to deliver the standard of services we should be getting for our tax dollars."
