Ms Pietroboni was born near the city of Venice in Italy on March 23, 1920 and a century later she celebrated her 100th year with a gathering at Scalabrini Village.
The youngest of 14 children, Ms Pietroboni moved to Australia when she was eight years old and has overseen a large family of her own, with her two children Mary and Sergio giving way to six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Ms Pietroboni said the celebration was "unexpected" and the milestone crept up on her, but she has had a full life and was thankful for those who joined her in the celebrations.
"I've been lucky in life," Ms Pietroboni said.
"I've got a wonderful family [and] I wouldn't change them for the world."

Ms Pietroboni was a dedicated worker on the fields of farms in Yenda and Hanwood during her work-life and continued to be a part of the city well into her 90s - only handing over her driving licence last year with a proud record of no accidents.
Affectionately known as someone who loves a conversation, Ms Pietroboni said she was "speechless" to hit 100 years of age.
"It's wonderful I've come to this age," Ms Pietroboni said.
"My heart is big, not small ... I've had a happy life, a wonderful family, what more can I say?"
A fan of brandy and wine, Ms Pietroboni's advice for reaching old age was to be assured of yourself and your actions, making sure you do things because you want to as well as enjoying a nice drink from time to time.
