The Tomorrow Man team are coming to Griffith, and the Calos Riders Club want everyone there.
Held at the The Kidman Wayside Inn from 6pm to 8.30pm, it aims to challenge the outdated stereotype of the Aussie man, which is leaving mates, dads, sons, uncles, teammates, workmates and brothers stranded without the tools to live a healthy life.
Tom Bell and his Tomorrow Man presentation were featured on the ABC documentary ‘Man Up’, and Bell encourages a no holds barred conversation about the state of man, face the mental health statistics and create an environment to break the tough stoic Aussie man stereotypes.
The Calos (motorcycle) Riders Club is a non-profit organisation originally formed by a group of Riverina men to appreciate the joy of motorbike riding.
Over a period of time the members became aware that most had family members or mates that suffered depression, suicide and the destruction impact on families is very personal. They hope Griffith will help the conversation.

Tomorrow Man will have many exploring how people can look after themselves, their mates and families better while carving out their own version of the Aussie man.
Most people will feel the impact of a mental illness at some time in their in their lives, either through their own experience, or through family or friends.
Under the current tough conditions when 98 per cent of NSW is drought declared or under drought watch and our family and mates are really struggling to cope how do we, ordinary community members step up and make a difference.
We don’t have the surplus feed or finances to help them in the physical aspects of the drought but we have faith in the tenacity of rural folk and the confidence that working together we can survive.
Proactive mateship, the sharing of this faith and confidence provides energy that sustains resilience so that each day we can rise to the challenges of life.
