The NSW Police State Crime Command’s child abuse and sex crimes squad is investigating after it was reported that the teenage boy was taken from his home by strangers – a man and a woman – and, over the course of the Easter weekend, assaulted in another home.
Police were contacted after the boy disclosed the information, and the investigation is now in the hands of Strike Force Coups detectives.
Those detectives are now appealing to the community for their help in identifying a man and woman they believe are well known to each other and may be able to assist with the investigation.
The man is described as being between 175cm and 180cm tall and was wearing a high-visibility shirt at the time.
The woman is described as being Caucasian in appearance with blonde or light brown hair, a nose ring and a distinctive tattoo on her back.
The teenager has been treated at Griffith Base Hospital.
Detectives are urging anyone who may know the pair, who has information that may assist their investigation, or who noticed anything suspicious in the Griffith area over Easter, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
