A driver has had a lucky escape on Tuesday after his car caught on fire in Griffith.

The man was driving a white Volkswagen Amarok and towing an empty horse float near West End Oval at around 8.30pm when he noticed a funny smell fill the cabin.
He quickly abandoned the vehicle and saw flames coming from underneath the bonnet.
Griffith Fire and rescue attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.
The car sustained extensive damage, however the horse float was saved.
In other news, Police are investigating a fight between three girls at E. W Moore Oval on Monday.
A number of football games were played that day, with one 13-year-old girl participating in an OzTag match.
It is alleged two other girls were on the field and approached the 13-year-old girl.
An altercation ensued, with the young girl receiving a bruise under the eye.
Griffith police are currently conducting further investigations.
