Minato and Howard held sway on the front nine, coming back from one down to hold a two hole lead after nine. Gyles and Arnold lifted and by the 16th., had squared the match. The 17th and 18th were squared, the match going into an extra hole which Minato parred to take the win.
In Saturday’s semi, Howard and Minato defeated A and L Kidd, one up and Gyles and Arnold defeated G Cox/G Smith 3/2.
Members’ event on Saturday was a single stroke for the March monthly medal with 72 players, boosted by 10 visitors.
Keiron Edwards, 68 nett, won A Grade, 80 off the stick, nailing birdies on the 15th and 16th from Neil Mahaffey, 70 nett, 77 off the stick, a birdie on the 13th.
Shane Gaffey, 66 nett, canning birdies on the 1st and 9th ahead of Duncan McWhirter, 69 nett, draining a bidie on the 4th.
Bob Painting, 68 nett, won C Grade ahead of Steve Marland, 73 nett.
Jason Magoci won both Pro Pins. Par threes to 7th John Harrison, 11th Rob Trembath, 16th Keiron Edwards. Vouchers to 74 nett.
A two grade single stableford on Sunday. Brad Fawcett, 40, won 0-18 Grade, ahead of Matt Staines, 38, shooting two under par 69.
Corey Saunders, 43, won 19-36 Grade Cody Stokes second, 38.
Josh stapleton fired par 71, 37 points, he also won the 7th pin, Michael Catanzariti 11th. Vouchers to 32 points.

Byron James, 38, won 19-27 Grade ahead of Bill Carter, 37, on a countbackk over Skeet Milne.
Mike Hedditch, 36, won 28-36 Grade, Graeme Bamford, 32, second.
