St Gregory’s College students completed their 2017 HSC with a great deal of success.
They now go out into the world richer for having completed their senior schooling at St Gregory’s College.
The academic highlights for the 2017 cohort include:
- Sixteen per cent of the students received an ATAR over 90
- Seven of those students achieved an ATAR over 95
This demonstrates the commitment of the students to their own learning as well as to the learning of others.
Derek Komban
Achieved an ATAR of 99.65, earning him the award for Dux of the College. Derek pursued an ambitious program of HSC study, focusing on his love for, and ability in, Mathematics.
Sean Mabin
Our 2016 Year 11 Dux, achieved an ATAR of 99.15.
Keep an eye out for Sean in years to come; his writing must surely be published one day.
Rohan Indap
Earned an outstanding ATAR of 99.00, placed 15th in the state for Legal Studies. His legal acumen will be highly sought-after.
Interestingly, Derek, Sean and Rohan were all members of the 2016 St Gregory’s College Mock Trial team, which placed first in the state.

We are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such fine young men.
Students achieved a number of Band 6 results across almost every subject offered in the college.
A Band 6 result in any subject is recognition of excellence in work habits and passion for what you are learning.
The class of 2017 exemplified commitment to the cause of their education.
Congratulations to these young men of “Strong Minds and Gentle Hearts”.
The college recently congratulated these fine young men at its annual high achievers assembly.
Guest speaker at the assembly, Member for Camden Chris Patterson, addressed the students, their families and friends.
Each year the college recognises the previous year’s high achievers and invites the students back for a formal awards ceremony recognising their hard work and dedication throughout their senior school lives.
