Griffith Swimming Club has a great representation had great representation at the Country Swimming Championship in Sydney with seven swimmers qualifying to take part in the event at Homebush.

The swimmers had success at the event held on Saturday, February 24 with all of the Griffith representation achieving personal bests with 22 set by the swimmers over the events across the 30 races they took part in.
Two of the swimmers were also able to pick up placings in their events.
Zaine Della Franca placed third in the 14 years 100m Butterfly with a time of 1:04.78 while also finished with top ten finishes in the 14 years boys 100m Freestyle and 13-14 years boys 50m Freestyle.
Meanwhile, Wil Donaldson continues to show he was born to swim achieving a third place in the 13 years boys 100m Backstroke.
His biggest success came in making it thought to the Australian Age Championships to be held in April in Sydney after setting two National Qualifying times in the 200m Individual Medley and 100m Butterfly.
Donaldson rounded out the event with top 10 finishes in the 13 boys 100m Breaststroke, 13-14 boys 200m Individual Medley and 13-14 boys 200m Backstroke.
