After winning the toss and batting first, the Cougars were able to make the strong start they need with Tim and Rob Rand getting their side off to a flying start.
The pair were able to get their side into a strong position at 74 off 22.4 overs before Tim Rand (32) fell to the bowling of Tom Spry.
Spry (2/35) backed it up in the following over to dismiss the dangerous Dean Bennett (1) to see the Cougars sitting at 2/89 after 25 overs.
While Rand and Pascoe were able to get their side past the 100-mark, Pascoe fell after scoring 17 off just nine deliveries when he was caught off the bowling of Marc Tucker.
The quick run scoring from the Cougars continued as after a run-a-ball partnership between Rand, and Jonathan Morris saw the side get to 118 before Morris was the next to fall to the bowling of Tucker (2/60).
While when Rand was finally dismissed by Brett Findlay, Coro lost three quick wickets as William Dalton (8) and Lucas Conlan (8) to see the Cougars fall to 7/137.
Late runs from Andrew Potter (15) and Justin Moat (11) to see the Cougars reach 170 off 42.3 overs.
The chase didn’t start well for Exies as Travers Pickmere (0) fell to the bowling of Alex Flood while Tom Burge (7) fell to the bowling of Lucas Conlan to have Exies struggling on 2/7.
Jamie Winkler and captain Phil Burge looked to rebuild their side’s innings with a 15-run stand before Winkler was caught by Dean Bennett of the bowling of Morris (1/18).
Spry and Burge got their side past 50 but with the score on 59 both Spry and Burge fell in quick succession to have Exies at 5/59 after 18.2 overs.
While Craig Burge was able to get a start, it was finding batsmen to stay around with him as, after a 12-run stand with Tucker, Shane Hutchinson (4/15) took three quick wickets to see Exies fall to 8/83.
Burge (30*) continued his run-scoring while Connor Bock held up an end before Flood returned to knock over the tail with Bock (2) and Aditha Jayasuriya (0) falling to see Exies bowled out in 35 overs for 111. The 59-run win for Coro sees them close the gap to Exies to just five points with two rounds remaining.
