Member for Murray Austin Evans has invited fine food producers to apply to promote their products to thousands of national and international buyers on the NSW Government’s stand at the show.
Murray Cod Australia attended last year for the first time, and Managing Director Matthew Ryan said it was an experience they wouldn’t give up this year.
“We got really good exposure, we are putting our fish out to people who are generally buying our product, which was great given our product may not be a really well known product in the food world,” Mr Ryan said.
“It’s great for us as a company to get feedback from consumers and customers to see what they want and how they perceive our product.”
An estimated 4000 samples of Murray cod were given out by Luke Piccolo and the team behind their stall last year.

Griffith prune grower Grant Delves, Chairman of the Australian Prune Industry Association is also preparing, and said it’s the perfect opportunity for Griffith producers to let international and national buyers and consumers know how great the region is.
“We went last year and it was a real Griffith fest, we got excellent mileage out of going,” Mr Delves said.
“If you can talk to somebody face to face, engage with them, it makes all the difference, I’m a farmer and I was there, and the consumer wants to talk to the farmer, to hear the story.”
Mr Evans said more than 30,000 trade visitors from over 45 countries are expected at the four-day expo from September 10-13, and the NSW Government offering up to 12 subsidised spots on its Flavours of NSW stand.
“Fine Food Australia is Australia’s biggest trade exhibition for the food and beverage industry providing a great chance for businesses to promote their products,” Mr Evans said.
