After winning the toss and electing to bat Coro started on the back foot losing the wickets of Jake Rand (0), Ben Wood (6) and Noah Kirkman (0) to see the Cougars fall to 3/7.
Joseph Bellicanta and Ben Signor lead the fight back for their side with a 51-run fourth wicket stand before Bellicanta (12) was run out and then followed quickly by Cooper Rand (1) and Jacob Witherspoon (0)
Late runs from Mason Bennett (34*) and Lewis Murphy (30*) saw the Coro side finish their 25 overs on 7/130.
While Signor (1/11) was able to pick up Jacom Vitucci (4), Oliver Bartter (42 ret) and Luke Demamiel (22) got their side into a good position at 1/62 when Bartter was forced to retire.
Aiden Serafin and Demamiel kept the runs ticking over before quick wickets including two to Mason Bennett (2/7) saw Hanwood hit the breaks.
When Baily Cullan (0) was run out Hanwood needed 14 runs off 20 deliveries, and it would be the wicket of Brett Docherty (7) which saw Hanwood fall by just two runs.
Exies have shown why they are the team to beat after a convincing win over Diggers.
Billy Evans (25) and Mason Rosengreen (18) were able to get their side off to a flying start to be on 41 after just four overs before Evans fell to the bowling Ryan Garcia (1/14).
The wicket did little to slow the scoring from Exies as Hayden Forner and Rosengreen continued their sides good work.
Exies were able to score 100 runs in the last 15 overs thanks to Forner (40 ret), Jack Mingay (35*), Mason Ashcroft (16) and Bohdy Martin (15) to finish their 25 overs on 5/180.
Diggers were on the back foot early in their chase of an unlikely victory as Benjamin Devery (1), and Charlie O’Sullivan (0) fell early to the bowling of Jayden Quinn (1/2) and Sean Culgan (1/2).
Riley Gatto (15) and Ryan Garcia (6) got their side to 26, however, Diggers would go on to lose seven wickets for 23 runs to be bowled out for 9/49 in 20.3 overs.
The tight bowling meant Exies walked away with a 131-run victory.
