With four rounds to go in the GDCA season, Hanwood is still hoping they will be able to climb into the top four when they take on Coro under lights at Exies No 1.

Heading into the weekend, there is a 13-point gap between Hanwood and fourth-placed Leagues and Hanwood captain Dean Catanzariti knows where his side need to improve if they want to play in their first final series since the 2014/15 season.
“Our batting just hasn’t been up to standard in recent weeks,” he said.
“The bowling has been pretty good, so we just need to put runs on the board.
“There is only a game in it I suppose so we will defiantly be pushing for the fourth place.”
Hanwood will need to rebound from a tough loss to Diggers last weekend where they lost by 92 runs last weekend.
The task won’t be made any easier with some key players missing this weekend’s game against the Cougars.
“At this stage, we have four out,” he said.
“We will be short an opening bowler as well as a couple of batsmen.”
Coro has taken two out of the three games between the two sides so far this season including an outright win over Hanwood in their previous timed meeting back in round seven thanks to young gun Dean Bennett scoring 130 while also picking up three wickets.
The third game finished in a draw after the game was cancelled due to heat rules.
If Coro wants to have any chance of taking first place they will need to pick up an outright win again this weekend with Exies currently holding a 29-point lead with the Cougars having the ability to pick up 48 points from the remaining four games.
