Under GDCA rules any player who wins three O’Farrell challenges become eligible for the honour and Lucas Conlan, Reece Matheson and Charlie Cunial have been crucial at various times throughout the last few season of representative cricket.
An unbeaten partnership between Conlan (31*) and Charlie Cunial (28*) proved match-winning as they put on 47 for the ninth wicket and guided Griffith to victory as they took the cup of Cootamundra at the start of January.
Conlan has been a key figure throughout the three defences and was apart of a partnership with Marc Tucker which saved their side from being bowled out much cheaper in their loss on Sunday.
Matheson meanwhile has been a mainstay in the representative side since over the last couple of season playing a key role with the bat and behind the stumps.
