Last week's event was a case of hot, dry weather. This week's weather provided us with conditions that were overcast, windy and very humid. Victory in the long course went to Tom Mackerass whilst Carissa Campbell won the short version of the run.
Special mention should go to the large number of the 14 minute group members (Derek Goullet, Moreno Chiappan, Narelle Lagergren, Brendan Sinclair, Peter Stockwell , Paul Muir and John Keenan) staying together in the hot weather and finishing at the same time.
Well done to Dom Calabria for carrying the Queen's baton over the weekend as part of the lead up to the 2018 Commonwealth Games. The Griffith Feral Joggers wish to congratulate him on this special honour.
Next week, the real running starts with the commencement of the "Bacchus" competition. Thank you to all those who attended the "Be Social" competition over the last couple of weeks considering the challenging conditions encountered. The Griffith Feral Joggers meet every Saturday afternoon at 5.30pm opposite Griffith Pioneer Park,
