After taking stage 13, the longest stage of the rally at 483km, it included a two-part 424km timed special, Price was approaching the final stage with confidence.
“If you’d told me six weeks ago I’d be here fighting for the podium I would have laughed at you,” Price, the 2016 champion, said after winning stage 13.

“I’m really happy with how things have gone so far and I’ll see what I can do tomorrow.”
After taking second on the final stage of the draining endurance rally event, Price was over the moon.
“Happy to get to the finish line, that was our main goal,” he said.
“We pushed hard in the first part but by the 40km mark the track made it hard to catch the 5 minutes that I needed to make second overall. second for the stage, and all in all I’m really pumped to be at the finish and to come away with third overall is something I wasn’t expecting on return from injury!”
Price also praised the work of his Red Bull KTM Factory racing crew for their hard work that got him into this position.
