In scorching conditions at West End Oval, Diggers won the toss and elected to bat with Mark Favell and Michael Duncan making a positive start for their side.
After a 46-run stand Duncan was dismissed by Joshua Smith (1/23), Leon Vico (1) followed close behind when Peter Taprell took a catch off the bowling of John Witherspoon (1/13).
With the score on 2/57 after 13.2 over the Diggers had a foundation to build on and Nathan Richards combined with Favell to kept the score ticking along.
Diggers hit a snag with the fall of Richards (22) as Favell (28), Brendan Wade (4) and Brett Owen (0) all falling in quick succession with Damien Walker (2/37) doing the damage with the ball to see Diggers fall to 6/96.
After an 11-run partnership between Jack Favell (2) and Brett Green (3) got the side to 107 before Diggers lost their remaining four wickets for eight runs to see the side finish on 115 off 26.3 overs.
It was a tough start for Coro in reply, and they were looking down the barrel of a very small total as wickets fell quickly.
Sean O’Rouke (4/13) was the chief destroyer with the ball while Mark Favell (3/22) and Neil Casey (2/12) also played supporting roles.
Peter Taprell (10) and John Witherspoon (35*) were the only Cougars to make double digits as the side was eventually bowled out for 93 in 25 overs to give Diggers a 22-run win.
In the 35-over game played on Friday night, Hanwood looked to stay in touch with the top four when they took on bottom-placed Yenda.
After winning the toss and electing to bat Hanwood looked to make a positive start through Neil Geltch and Reed Bunyan.
The pair were able to put on 40 runs for the first wicket however when Geltch (10) fell to the bowling of Neil Burke (2/19), Bunyan (24) and Daniel Febo (1) followed close behind to see Hanwood fall to 3/47.
Teei Piawi (19) and Morgan Tiere (9) lead a fight back for the Hanwood side before another four quick wickets fell. Luke Catanzariti (14*) and Bradyn Challis (25) added late runs to see their side finish on 9/140 after their 35 overs.
Yenda made a strong start in their reply with Zac Rudiger (24), Neil Burke (15) and Matthew Staines (20) before three quick wickets saw Yenda fall to 5/79.
Jesse Wade Ryan (11), Peter Longford (14) and Dan McGreal (11) got to double figures before Kym Wheeler (3/14) ripped through the lower order.
When Wheeler removed David Milne, Yenda fell just seven runs short of their first win of the season with 15 balls remaining.
