Fast food frenzy: Woman charged with assaulting staff

A woman has been charged with assault following an altercation at a fast food chain in Griffith.

At around 2:40am, a 21-year-old woman attended the outside of the fast food restaurant. It is alleged she began to abuse staff and was subsequently refused service.

Police say she then parked and entered the restaurant and approached the front counter where a confrontation took place. It is alleged she threw food and drink and assaulted staff members.

Police were called to the scene where the woman was arrested. She was taken to Griffith Police station, charged and refused bail.

She now faces four counts of assault and one of intimidation.

Her case was listed to appear before Wagga Local Court on January 8.
