On Sunday, the shop will fill up with kids who may otherwise miss out, ready to receive a free haircut, enjoy refreshments and get treated to the full salon experience.
Owner Tristan Sergi thought of the idea, and approached Mitch to make it a reality.
“I think most of us are in a position to make a difference, but it just takes that one step forward to put it into motion.”
Mitch said he sees a lot of young people go with nothing over Christmas, and was appreciative of Tristan and Michael to give up their time.
“It will put a smile on each of the young boys faces.”
Tristan wanted to have the day as close to Christmas as they could, so the kids could celebrate feeling good about themselves.
“I’m really excited to see the looks on the kids faces when they see the end result, to see that some self confidence and some pride.”

Mitch said he couldn’t wait to see the event happen.
“When Tristan called and told me he wanted to give back to the community I jumped straight on board,” Mr Litchfield said.
“I think sometimes we take Christmas for granted and giving even but a little can make someone’s Christmas really special.”
