Wade High School have secured the Cudmore Shield following success in games against Marian Catholic College and Griffith High School recently.

Wade took on Marian in the first game, and thanks to an all-round performance from Ben Signor who scored 38 with the bat before backing up his performance with six for 11 with the ball as Wade were able to come away with a 33-run win.
Needing to bounce back, Marion took on Griffith High. While Marian made a good start with Ryan Bock scoring an unbeaten 52 setting Griffith 138 to win. Oliver Bartter (53*) lead the way for Griffith High as they came away with an eight-wicket win to set up a showdown with Wade High.
In the showdown, Wade batted first, and while they lost Ben Signor (1) early it was composed batting from Sam Payne (35), Brody Mirthschin (46) and Harry Rowston (32*) which saw Wade set Griffith 134 for victory.
Ben Signor (3/6) again showed his ability with the ball and with help from Jacob Witherspoon (2/4), Wade limited Griffith to just 57 thanks to Judd Stevenson (32*) and take the Cudmore Shield with a 77-run win.
In the girls game, Wade defeated Marian by 16 runs thanks to Olivia Farrore who scored 19 with the bat and two wickets from Lily Mangay.
