After the Panthers won the toss and elected to bat, their opening pair in Ben Leach and Oliver Coulman made a good start with a first wicket partnership which lifted the side to 57.
When Coulman (24) was run out after a direct hit from William Dalton it triggered a stumble which saw Leach (21) and Jimmy Binks (1) both dismissed by the dangerous Hutchinson.
Matt Kennan and Ryan Greenaway looked to be getting their side back on the right track as they lifted the side to 102 off 31.1 overs before Kennan (20) became Hutchinson’s third victim.
Once again the fall of one Panther lead to a trickle of wickets as Greenaway (24) was dismissed by Dean Bennett (1/38) with Babar Safdar (0) following close behind to have Leagues on 6/105 off 33.3 overs.
Kierren Williams (15) and Derek Opo (14) tried to add some late runs but the bowling of Hutchinson was too much for the Panthers. He finished with figures of 7/35 off 16.2 overs after he brought the innings to a close picking up the wickets of Williams, James Shelton (0) and Raj Singh (6).
When Opo was run out by Mitchell Williams-Hedges, Leagues were bowled out for 144 off 41.2 overs.
Tim and Rob Rand looked to get the Cougars off to a strong start with the side in a good position to pick up a win.
The opening pair got the side to 23 before Raj Singh was brought into the attack in the seventh over and he was able to pick up the wicket of Rob Rand (10).
Singh and Binks were able to slow the scoring before Singh picked up the wicket of Tim Rand (15).
The fall of wickets brought young gun Bennett to the crease along with William Kennedy with the side needing 111 wins to pick up the outright win.
The pair were able to steer their side to the victory with a 112-run partnership with Bennett leading the way as he was able to post his second fifty for the season to finish on 62* while Kennedy was able to play the supporting role with an unbeaten 34.
The win has seen Coro leapfrog Diggers into second place.
