A two-year-old girl has died and eight others were injured after two cars collided head-on in Sydney's south west on Tuesday.

Nine people, including three children, were injured in the crash on Mamre Road, near Abbotts Road in Kemps Creek about 1.30pm.
The crash involved a passenger van carrying nine people and a commercial van carrying two people.
Three children - two boys aged nine months and three years and a two-year-old girl - were taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead, but the girl died after arriving at hospital.

A 59-year-old man with critical injuries and a 23-year-old woman with leg injuries were taken to Liverpool Hospital, along with a 20-year-old woman, a 16-year-old boy and two girls aged 16 and 10 who suffered minor injuries.
The two occupants of the commercial van were not injured, according to NSW Police.
Earlier, NSW Ambulance Superintendent Paul Edwards said the circumstances of the "chaotic" crash would now be investigated by NSW police.
"The scene was very distressing with three children involved - two of them with serious injuries," he said. "We responded with 14 ambulance vehicles and two helicopters.
"We also called in three NSW Ambulance chaplains to support our staff, families and bystanders.
"Our chaplains are continuing to debrief with staff and family."

Debris could be seen strewn across the road and down the embankment. One of the vehicles had been pushed backwards down the embankment.
In vision taken from a helicopter, several people were carried on stretchers into ambulances, while another person limped from the crash scene with the assistance of another person.
Mamre Road was closed in both directions between Bakers Lane and Abbotts Road following the car crash but traffic diversions have since been lifted, said a spokeswoman from the Transport Management Centre.
