And ladies, marvelous prizes are not all that could be up for grabs!
The event will not only help money for diabetes, but also allows attendees to have fun and be pampered by some shirtless men, some of whom are reportedly single.
Murrumbidgee Diabetes Association President Joseph Amato said the money raised from the night will go towards equipment, awareness and support for those living with diabetes in the region.
“We are definitely looking to help out the young ones living with diabetes,” he said.
“It can be a challenge, especially when the parent has to wake and test the child through the night, traditionally with a pin-prick on the finger to test.”
“The new equipment we are looking at means you can scan a patch worn on the skin, much like a barcode, to get the sugar level reading. It will make a huge difference.”
Locally famous for his appearance and Mr July in the Country Hope calendar, Guy Orton was inspired to once again go shirtless for a cause.
“After being involved in the calendar, I thought this was another great opportunity to help out an organisation doing good in the community,” Guy said.
Functions and Events Coordinator for Griffith Exies Club Fay Pilloni said the club was proud to be able to help a worthwhile local organisation.
“In conjunction with Murrumbidgee Diabetes Association we are holding this fundraiser to help raise much needed funds for equipment and awareness,” she said.
The event will be held on December 1 at 7pm at Griffith Exies Main Club.
There will be free sparkling wine on arrival, canapes, live entertainment by Max Jones, supper with the chance to win excellent prizes from the raffle.
