After being named in the Riverina cricket team for the NSW PSSA Championships in Orange, it bring Patrick’s total up to five after he represented his region in Athletics, soccer, Australian Rules and Basketball.
Patrick said the best part about heading away on these carnivals has been making new friends.
“I have been able to learn lots of new skills, and that has been lots of fun, and you get to meet lots of new people, and that is probably my favourite thing about it,” he said.
The year 6 student from Griffith North Public School headed to the state athletics carnival at Homebush as part of the school’s senior boys relay team and the AFL side came away as state championships.
“I think out of the ones I got picked for Cricket and AFL are probably my go to sports,” he said.
“We won the whole tournament for the AFL which was pretty good.”
With the cricket carnival coming up in a couple of weeks, Patrick is working hard to ensure he is ready for the challenge.
“I will be down at the nets over the next couple of days practising, and I am really excited to head off,” he said.
