Openers Dom Brown (59) and A.Whatley (48) made the most of the new ball to make quick runs with a 112-run partnership for the first wicket.
Brown was dismissed by Nick Foster (1/26) before Brown, Theo Valeri (0) and Jimmy Binks (0) fell to the bowling of Deives (3/20) to have Griffith at 4/120.
Captain Haydn Pascoe (38) and Logan Matheson (17) looked to hold their side reach a big total with a 55-run partnership. Matheson was dismissed by Zac Clarke (1/24) after he was caught behind with the score on 5/175.
Another two quick wickets saw Pascoe fall to the bowling of McDermott (1/27) while Reece Matheson (8) was caught by McDermott of the bowling of Albert Gibson (1/27). Dean Bennett (2) and Andrew Potter (4*) hit some quick runs to see Griffith reach the 20 over mark on 7-190.
Ardlethan/Barellan made a good start in reply with Deives (22) and Alex Manning (16) getting the scoring moving to be on 21 at the end of the third over. However, when Manning fell to the bowling of Potter, it triggered a collapse the side were not able to get out of. Potter took five quick wickets to rip through the top order to have the side struggling 5/42.
Bennett (3/7) came into the attack to claim three wickets with Logan Matheson (1/1) taking the final wicket of Gibson (0) to bowl Ardlethan/Barellan out for 68.
