They are coming off the back of a 17-run win over Diggers last weekend which came thanks to a good knock from Jamie Winkler.
Winkler finished unbeaten on 87 which sees him currently holding an average of 121 after the first two games and Exies captain Phil Burge praised the start to the season from the ever-reliable top order batsman.
“He has hit some form early which is great for us,” he said.
“The knock last week was pretty important, but I think as a whole it was a great team effort by the boys.”
Burge said his side would also be able to welcome some regulars coming back into boosting the side ahead of a tough clash.
“We should be pretty close to full strength this week,” he said.
“Everyone is going to be tough this year, so we are going to need as many hands on deck as possible.”
Coro is coming into the game after a strong showing last time out against Hanwood.
Shane Hutchinson was the standout with the ball as he picked up three wickets.
Captain Haydn Pascoe (2/23) and William Dalton (2/3) also stood out picking up two wickets each to keep Hanwood to 117.
It was an convincing finish with Tim Rand (26)and Dean Bennett (25) setting the foundation with Pascoe (43*) finishing it off to get the side over the line with plenty of time to spare and six wickets in hand.
Burge knows with the form the Cougars have shown in recent years they will be a tough test for his side this weekend.
“Their whole team can be pretty dangerous,” he said.
“Pascoe is one of the better batsmen around and can be a real danger.
“Floody (Alex Flood) in the bowling has been getting quicker and quicker lately so he will a test as well.”
In the side’s games last season, Coro was dominant in the four games winning all of their encounters.
The game will get underway at Westend Oval at 1pm on Saturday.
