The Sikh temple held a fundraising night on Wednesday in support of the McGrath foundation, and held a prayer service followed by dinner open to all members of the community.
Nick Chauhan from Griffith Real estate was thrilled with the turn out from the Griffith and surrounding communities.
“It was a really successful night, I was speaking to a few people who are from Leeton as well, and a lot of people from Griffith came as well,” Nick said.
“We thought as a community we should play our part as well for the McGrath foundation and breast cancer.”
Staff at Yenda Producers in Griffith and Leeton have also been fundraising for the McGrath foundation.
Branch Manager Chris Butler says cancer is a disease that affects everyone.
“We’re raising money because everyone is touched by cancer in some shape or form, it’s close to everyone’s heart at the end of the day.”
