A WANTED man led police on a short foot chase in Griffith’s CBD on Monday before being arrested with what is alleged to be an amount of methamphetamine.

The 26-year-old was spotted by police in Yambil Street around 12.40pm.
He was wanted by police for a number of warrants.
When the man noticed the officers, the man allegedly fled, but he was soon tracked down and arrested.
Police will allege a small amount of methamphetamine was discovered in a clear resealable bag at the time of his arrest.
He will appear in Griffith Local Court on Tuesday.

TWO stolen motorcycles have been recovered by Griffith police this week.
Around 4pm on Monday, police noticed a young male riding an unregistered motorbike in Heath Crescent.
The motorbike was ridden into the backyard of a property. with police attending the address.
Officers spoke with two men and their inquiries revealed the motorcycles were stolen and they were subsequently seized.
Police are continuing to look into the matter, but no charges have been laid so far.
