But for these two lucky dads, the bar has been set extremely high, with both having children born on Sunday at Griffith Base Hospital.
Dylan Harm and Justin Webb were both equally pleased with the day’s events.
“It’s the best thing to wake up to this morning, it was full on,” Mr Harm said.
“She was expected on Friday, so this was a bit of a surprise, however it is by far the best Father’s Day gift ever.”
Mr Harm and mum Taylah Hill-Shultz’s little girl was the first baby to be born on Father’s Day at Griffith Base Hospital, arriving at 10.53am and weighing 3335 grams.

Justin Webb was just as thrilled to become a first-time dad, with the day occurring on Father’s Day just that extra touch of special.

“It was a long day, but I’m very happy,” Mr Webb said.
“We have decided to call him Lucas.”
His baby boy came into the world at 3.50pm on Sunday, weighing 3310 grams, with mum Brooke Stewart also doing well.
