It was going to be a tough game with Griffith sitting in eight while Mangoplah is on the edge of the top five.
The Swans started well in the first quarter to go into the first break up by one goal thanks to some great defence from Sonya Monk and Zoe Cunial.
The sides traded blows in the second quarter which saw the scores level at the main break 18-18. Helped by Georgia Burley, who was playing up from the 17s, and Keira Argus the side stayed in the game to trail Mango by a single goal at three-quarter-time.
With two injuries in the final quarter making the task difficult they eventually fell 37-33.
Across the other grades, the under 17s kept their quest for an unbeaten season alive with a 40-30 win. It was a difficult weekend for the rest of the sides as A, B and C Grade all suffered losses as they now looking to end the season on a high when they take on Turvey Park.
