They will need Hanwood White to drop points in order to take top spot but this weekend is a good opportunity for Yoogali SC to put pressure on the top-placed side.
Yoogali has been one of the form teams all year and have only lost one game all season heading into finals.
The last time the two sides met, it was a convincing 10-0 win for Yoogali SC thanks to a hat-trick to Algis Roog and doubles to Mairo Tikerberi and Alessandro Gentilini.
If Griffith City were to cause an upset this weekend, it would be only their second win of the season following their step up from the reserves competition.
The match between the two sides is the first of a double header at Noe Santolin Oval starting at 1pm.
