Police allege the 22-year-old robbed and threatened a 24-year-old man while armed with a knife at a Scenic Drive hostel in Griffith on June 27 around 3am.
He then allegedly stole two safes and a car.
Griffith Local Area Command officers arrested the man on Monday just before 2pm on Watermain Street in Narrandera.
He was taken to Narrandera Police Station and charged with armed robbery, aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, and take and drive conveyance without consent of owner.
The man was refused bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on Tuesday.
Investigations are continuing.
