The goal is to be able to present locally scripted and developed performances from Griffith and surrounding areas.
Griffith Regional Theatre Manager Raina Savage is excited to start these classes.
“We would love to have an ongoing youth theatre troupe, and be able to present our own locally scripted and developed performances, so we encourage all young people with a craving for the limelight to come along and join the fun.”
Local drama teachers Jasmine Dosseter and Bonnie Owen will be taking the classes which begin in Term three and will run for a six week block.
“We are lucky to have teachers with Jasmine and Bonnie’s passion and experience to introduce a new generation to the magic of live theatre performance.”

The classes are accessible with no experience is required, and will cover a range of theatre styles, with group and solo work, script writing and performance, improv and theatre games and a short performance at the end of each term.
“There is so much talent and interest in theatre performance in Griffith and the surrounding areas, and we are always being asked when we will be running more youth classes.”
