Around 25 local pilots attended, with main speaker Teraya Miller, from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
The briefing focused on pilot pre-flight and in-flight decision making, flying within personal limits and hazards during landing.
Aero Club member Peter Little said “nights like this are all about having fun and enjoying flying in a safe environment of which both new and older pilots get a lot of benefit from.”
Senior Flight Instructor from Griffith Aero Club said he was pleased with the turn out.
“There was a meeting around the same time last year and one the year before that, and they tackle a particular issue each time.”
CASA’s Peter Gibson says the briefing for Griffith pilots is part of a national aviation safety campaign, “getting pilots to think and talk about aviation safety issues.”
