The side fell to Queensland 14.8 (92) to 7.8 (50) with Rowston named one of the best alongside Wagga Tigers’ Shaun Driscoll.
Meanwhile, the under 16s side were convincing winners over Northern Territory, 20.16 (136) to 1.10 (16).
The NSW-ACT girls also won their first game, on Monday, against the Allies, 4.2 (26) to 3.4 (22).
