The outcome is Warangesda: Deep Waters - an insightful contemporary art exhibition that examines the history and legacy of the Warangesda Mission at Darlington Point, a significant cultural site for the Wiradjuri People.
The partnership project between Western Riverina Arts, the Griffith Regional Art Gallery and National Parks and Wildlife Service will be on display at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery until July 23.

WESTERN Riverina Arts will work with London-based Naviar Records to develop an exhibition that draws together traditional Japanese haiku poetry and audiovisual responses.
Local writers, photographers and audio producers are invited to join the inter-continental collaboration that will exhibit at the Narrandera Arts and Community Centre this October.

Warangesda: Deep Waters - an insightful contemporary art exhibition that examines the history and legacy of the Warangesda Mission at Darlington Point.
OUR region has some public artwork opportunities on offer. Leeton Council and Western Riverina Arts are seeking expressions of interest from artists, designers or engineers to design and create five public artworks.
The pieces will be used as Heritage Interpretative Stations in Leeton and surrounding areas.
Artists will be paid up to $15,000 for each commissioned artwork. EOI are open now and will close July 31.
Also in the vicinity, a significant public artwork is being commissioned by the Greater Hume Shire Council.
The artwork will be positioned in front of the Headlie Taylor Header Museum in Henty. The budget for the sculpture will be between $20,000 - $85,000 and EOI close July 31, 2017.
