His extreme success in real estate over the past two years seems like a fast rise on the surface, the once struggling man from the Patiala-Chandigarh region of Punjab, India, detailed his “failures” in order to inspire young students to “never give up”.
Year 11 SRC member Aduny Takele was one of around 30 students immersed Mr Jain’s words of wisdom.
“They taught us that doing things you want to do specifically...out of your own motivation, and doing things that you really love like out of passion, instead of going for money… (that’s) heading for straight fail,” Aduny said.
Year 11 student Nalani Abera-George also thought it was, “really motivational and inspiring”.
“Hearing everything he went though, and he taught us not to give up, and there’s always a plan B if plan A doesn’t work out,” Nalani said.
“It’s not about how hard you hit, but about how hard you can get hit and still get up.” Mr Jain said.
Mr Jain’s advice suggested people have different life situations, including depression, issues with partners, family and finance.
“I would say those issues are not because of you, they are there for a reason, and I would say that God has a reason for that which you can’t see, and it is for good,” Mr Jain said.
Teachers also embraced the messages told in the speech, with English teacher Libby Ridgway commending the message of hard work especially on the eve of year 10s commencement of work experience.
“Even if you are not academically strong, students can still be successful, there are lots of different ways to get to where you want to go.”
