Police were called to the scene of the accident at 5.30 pm following reports it appeared a driver travelling along Norilla Street had failed to Give Way at the intersection with Boonah Street.
The car collided with another car passing through the intersection, with the impact so severe both cars had to be towed from the scene.
An 88-year-old woman who was sitting in the passenger seat of the car that was hit had to be taken to Griffith Base Hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the car that appears to have missed the give way sign also had to be taken to hospital for scans and checks.
Police are also searching for a man who kicked in a shop window on Banna Avenue in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man was caught on CCTV wearing a red jumper and black pants kicking in the window and causing an estimated $700 worth of damage.
Anyone with information should contact Griffith Police.
