This week marks the half-way mark of the Griffith Leagues Club B Grade Squash Competition and Dockers have already opened up a six-point lead over their nearest rivals, Swans, thanks to a convincing win against Dockers, where they won all six rubbers. Nick Callcut was on fire when he accounted for Dave Gilbert in three, and Nick Seddon was equally as impressive when he also won in three against Phil Priest. Best match saw newcomer Mal Ramasundara notch up his first win, defeating Norma Spencer after four tight games, leaving Dockers with plenty of work to do in the second round.

A closer contest saw Lions defeat Giants 18/16, where Joyce Dickie starred for Lions winning two five game marathons. The Super Nany was too strong for Trent Foster, but impressed when she moved up a line and also defeated Rodney Bortolin 9/2 in their fifth game, earning 10 points for Lions. Roseanne Atkinson also put her best foot forward to account for Vince Staltare in three, while Giants lone winner was Darren Bradley. Third placed Bombers won 18/15 against second placed Swans. Jamie Piva was on fire when he defeated Jason Dunn in three, after Dunn had notched up an impressive win the previous week. Brenton Richmond was Bombers best performer when he defeated Ryan Salvestro in three before moving up to take on Craig McDermott, with their game proving to be the match of the night. Richmoind won the first game 10/8, but McDermott responded with a 9/3 win in the second game. Richmond then changed gears and won 9/6, but his lead was short lived when McDermott levelled with a 10/9 win to send the match into a fifth game decider. Richmond went on to win 9/6, earning 9 points for his team, only one point ahead of the Super Nany's impressive 10 points.
