Coach Craig Morriss said his side are looking forward to taking the field again.
“The break probably came at a good time for us,” he said.
“Everyone is now over their niggles and are looking forward to this weekend.”
He (Broome) has probably been the form halfback in the competition
- Craig Morriss
A trip to Hay is a potential tripping point Morriss is looking to avoid given how close the table is with his side level with three other teams in a fight for top spot.
“I’m not taking anything for granted,” he said.
“In recent weeks Hay’s losing margins have been coming down and I think they might have recruited some new players.
“On a whole, there are never easy games in the competition and a bad day at the office can be really damaging.”
While there are no injuries, the Panthers will be without a key component for the clash with the Magpies.
“We should be pretty much full strength,” he said.
“Steven Broome might miss which is a bit of a loss for us.
“I think he has probably been the form halfback in the competition.”
