Private school funding
The amount of money the federal government gives to the very wealthy private schools, I mean the really wealthy ones, not the Catholic schools, is disgusting.

These wealthy private schools end up far better off than the public schools, so there must be something wrong.
Many of are so wealthy they can afford to run their own fleets of buses.
These schools all sit on vast amounts of very valuable real estate in prime locations which they don’t need.
They could easily flog off some of their land, worth at least $5m an acre I would assume.
If they need money, or they could build multi-storey blocks of home units on part of the land, rent them out, and the rent itself would generate millions of dollars a year.
That is the economic rationalist solution.
I understand one wealthy school in Sydney is getting an extra $35m.
There would be many parents sending their kids to that school who could write a cheque for that much and regard it as petty cash if the school went to them cap in hand asked them.
I thought the age of entitlement was over?
The Liberals and their supporters complain about the Labor Party creating class warfare.
It's the Liberals who create the class warfare.
With this kind of policy have you wondered why the Liberals are behind in the polls?

Can’t call on Cardinal
We hear tell that the DPP in Victoria has given the green light for police to decide as to whether to charge Cardinal Pell on historic sexual abuse charge allegations levelled against him.
Detectives from task force Sano will consider the advice keeping in mind it an an ongoing investigation.
Cardinal Pell agreed to be questioned in Rome by these detectives from the Sano task force.
He repeatedly denies all the allegations claiming them to be utterly false.
Therefore unless he voluntarily agrees to come back to Australia to face any charges that are laid it is possible he will never appear in court.
It is claimed that if there was any credibility in any of these claims they would have been pursued by the Royal Commission by now.
Victorian police would find it very difficult to force Cardinal Pell to come back to Australia, he already being well trenched in the Vatican.
Even though Australia has an extradition treaty with Italy it doesn't have an extradition treaty with the Holy City.
It may seem a pointless pursuit because of the Cardinal's high position of authority in the church.
We need to remember what we saw him say on worldwide media TV eg that he had the full support of the Pope, when interviewed by the press in Rome after the hearings in October 2016.
When it seems that all hope is lost for those who seek justice for the crimes committed against them often what seems to be the impossible becomes the possible and proof is established often from the most unlikely source.
We must never underestimate the unseen power of the One bigger than ourselves who works in mysterious ways.
Read Louise Milligan's recently released book titled Cardinal on sale now.
It will rock your socks off.
It uncovers uncomfortable truths about a culture of sexual entitlement, abuse of trust and how ambition can silence evil.
God may well use this book in a mysterious way as the unlikely source.
