The two sides were evenly matched in both attack and defence and the scoreline was a fair reflection ending at 1-1.

Game 2 saw Exies men take on Easts men. Despite Kym Wheeler’s efforts for Easts it wasn't enough to stop Exies good run of form beating Easts 5-1.
Jamie Piva top score for Exies with 2 while Andrew Sinclair, Jason Rosenow and Dean Baird all chipping in with 1. Paramjeet Singh scored Easts only goal.
The first game of the women's saw a mammoth win for Vic Hotel taking down Exies women 12-0.
Exies Ellen Baird and Hannah Shrives excellent efforts were not enough to stop Karen Johnston and Fiona Shields who both scored three for Vic.
Game 2 saw another big win with Easts women beating Bulldogs women 5-0. Bulldogs looked to be in control early on with Rebecca Barry and Lachlan West leading the way for her team.
Easts were able to regroup with Lauren Marshall top scoring with 3, While Fiona McKenzie and Melinda Bonetti both chipping in with 1 each.
