President Grant Fitzsimon said the club was always looking for more committee members.

“We need some new blood, new ideas, some new energy,” he said.

Anyone can join the club and contribute in any way they know how.

“An interest in racing is ideal, but not necessary,” Mr Fitzsimon said.

“When I first did it I hadn’t been to the races for about 10 years.

“The racing side of things is all handled by the governing body, Racing NSW.

“The majority of the work is organising the day, the festivities, organising sponsors, that sort of thing.”
