Wests got off to a great start against the defending champions with Luke Keefe scoring just 90 seconds into the game.
Yoogali SC hit back, but it was short lived as a mere 40 seconds later Keefe had a double to give Wests the lead heading into the break.
The half-time talk appeared to make the difference with Yoogali SC able to score two goals to take the lead for the first time in the match.
A short time after Yoogali SC took the lead, Wests found their chances of a comeback slipping away with Johanson given a straight red card in the 68th minute.
From there, Yoogali SC proved to be simply unstoppable as they piled on the scoreboard pressure scoring two goals in the last 20 minutes to take away the 5-2 win.
The win is Yoogali’s second big win of the season after they were able to see off the challenge of from Griffith City One with a 7-1 victory last weekend.
