The chase began in the early hours of New Year’s Eve when police attempted to pull over a car driven by Paige Charles for a random breath test.
But it quickly became apparent 22-year-old Charles was not going to pull over and police began their pursuit.
The chase took police through various residential and built up areas before heading outside of the city’s limits.
But it all came to an end just 13 minutes later on Lakes Road when the car Charles was driving came to a stop due to vehicle failure.
Charles faced a charge of not stopping and driving recklessly in a police pursuit with police facts saying at times she had been driving at more than double the speed limit.
She was sentenced to eight months in prison but had her sentence suspended, she was also disqualified from driving for two years.
