The next two rounds will be held in Tamworth and Wollongong, which means there is plenty of travelling ahead for the Griffith trio.
Noah Sands competed in the KA4 junior heavy class, and with a big field of 12, Noah had to work hard, but with some great driving, he finished second overall for the first round which is a great effort and he will be one to watch in the future.
KA3 senior light had two Griffith locals competing in this class - Jason Severino and Byron Woolner.
Jason started the weekend off on fire qualifying sixth out of 26 karts.
In one of the heats he pushed off, which put him back to the back of the pack, but he battled back and finished eighth overall.
Byron also drove very well all weekend but had a few problems qualifying and could only manage 16th out of the 26 karts.
With qualifying behind him he set about getting a better result and with some great driving he came home with a 10th overall.
