Yoogali SC coach Luke Santolin couldn’t have been happier with the win.
“It was a good performance. Like I said earlier, we were yet to field our best 11 and it felt good to hit the ground running,” Santolin said.
“From the first minute, we wanted to put in a Yoogali Soccer Club-standard performance and I was happy with it.”
Santolin said the whole side played well together but there was one performance that stood out.
“It was a brilliant team performance but Mairo Tikerberi scored five goals,” Santolin said.
“His finishing was top notch, but he was also providing teammates with opportunities too.”
Alessandro Gentilini and Mario Tikerberi were the other YSC goal-scorers while David English scored the sole goal for Griffith City.
