The Sturt Highway was closed in Gillenbah after a passenger vehicle reportedly pulled out in front of a “large truck” at the Newell intersection after 10.20am.
Paramedics rushed the three other women travelling in the car to Wagga hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
The 31-year old, 56-year old and 53-year old were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the truck was reportedly uninjured.
Griffith police inspector Nick Seddon said police were investigating the incident and the highway would remain closed until further notice.
